There are many ways to make money online. Unfortunately, many of the money-making techniques actually take money to make money. This means that you need to begin with money if you hope to make any money.
However, there are several free ways to make money online. Let’s take a look at four of them right now.
1. Offer Your Services
Perhaps the easiest way to get started making money online is by offering your services to other internet marketers.
If there is something you do especially well – such as writing, designing web pages, etc. – then you can find people who will be more than happy to pay for your services.
You can go to some sites that charge you to pay to bid on projects (such as elance.com or scriptlance.com) but you don’t have to.
In fact, you’ll probably have more success by going to forums and simply putting your email in the signature box and writing that you will write, design, etc. for people.
To get started you could even offer to do a couple projects for dirt cheap just to get a couple references.
2. Become an Affiliate and Set-Up a Free Blog
There are many places you can sign-up with to become an affiliate.
Clickbank is probably one of the best and easiest to sign-up with.
Become an affiliate for a couple products and then set-up a couple free blogs to promote the products. Just write a new blog three or four times a week and include the affiliate link on the blog.
You can go to Blogger.com or Wordpress.com to get a free blog.
Also remember to “Digg” your blog and write articles with links back to your blog.
3. Use Social Networking Sites
Social networking sites is another great way to make money through affiliate sales. You can be an active member and create one or more pages on social sites such as MySpace, FaceBook, Squidoo, Xanga, and FacePaint.
You can also use your social networking site(s) in conjunction with a free blog. Also, you can use article marketing to help direct
traffic to your social networking sites.
4. Create Your Own Product
You could also create your own product and sell it on your free blog, social website, and on forums.
Of course this would work best if you pay a little money and set-up a sales page with the necessary bells and whistles. But you can do it the free way and make some money as well.
One of the easiest ways to create a product is to interview an expert in your particular field of interest and sell the recording as an audio course. This also gives you instant credibility as you become associated with these experts.
So there you have four free ways to make money online. You can commit to any or all of these free ways and begin bringing in money within a few days to a couple weeks.
The main ingredient in all of these “recipes” to make money is ACTION. You wont make any money unless you go out and try something.

Good post Richard, the timeless basics never change, and if anyone wants to get started online, these basic steps will get them there. Sure, it takes a little bit of work, but, I’ll trade a little hard work for profiting from my own business any day!

Thanks, again, for sharing. This is such an important topic, because if we don’t get enough of that targeted traffic, we’re pretty much “out of business”.
I would also like your recommendations on low-cost advertising, as I don’t feel I’m ready yet for PPC (Adwords), but getting closer.

I will try the blogging idea. I am already a clickbank affiliate, and have not had any sales yet. I have had nearly a thousand hits but no sales.
I am ready to try something else. I need to make some money, before I spend anymore on marketing and information.
I like this blog and have not been here before, and intend having a good look around. It looks interesting and useful.

As a little add on to the blog item - always get a goodlooking theme for your blog - the standard ones are awful. Just google wordpress themes, download and install.
You can make your blog look really professional with some of these free themes.

Hi Richard,
Good post another couple of free options would be Hubpages (hubpages.com) who allow you co share on monetizing the site with eBay links, Amazon links and Google Adsense.
And I would highly recommend plain old Blogger (blogger.com) as they are owned by Google and I’ve always found blogs I’ve created there getting indexed quickly plus I get Adsense revenue from a wide variety of the sites I have put up on blogger.

I have been following your success and hope to get there soon myself. I have just really started using a blog and intend to use it for affiliate marketing as you suggest. I am writing articles to submit also and soon I hope to also have a following.

Dont forget the create a long tail keyword site and sell ad space. This takes a little more time, but it truly set it just drop content.

This is the first time i’ve been to your blog [too busy with the success in 30 days].
i had already done some of the suggestion you made ,clickbank etc but i got some extra tips which improved my click rates. I still havn’t got to adsense yet i would appreciate some advice on this and others like it.
My website is up and running but because i decided to build it as i learn it still needs alot of fine tuning but i think the idea is ok.[any advice on this would be good (please be nice i’ve had a bad week and it’s only Tuesday)]

I just want to commend you for your true Honesty… I have spent countless hours searching for that one Real Home Based Business that does what it says. I built a website and paid for hosing for a whole year and went live and then all of a sudden I logged into my back office and for some reason my products featured would not open… I tried to contact the original owner and they never contacted me back. I think someone should be accountable for Bad Business Online. I NOW know that I have been taken for a ride… I will be looking to begin again this time For Free… I paid for that education lesson…

What a great blogg this is. I could not agree more with what I have read here today. I too have made similar experiences to what I learned here and now run a successful online business. But I am forever reading bloggs to learn more about what is “out” there.
